Thirty minutes of brisk walk increases lung capacity, eventually strengthening the functions of lungs and making you to breathe easier. And walking outside in the woods will help to breathe in fresh oxygen.

Walking also helps in proper blood circulation in your body. Reduce your risk of heart disease by 30 percent to 40 percent if you do it briskly 3 or more hours a week. Increase your lifespan up to 5 years if you walk 2 or more miles a day.

Due to improvement in cardiovascular disease, the blood pressure also gets reduced. Those who tend to go for walk an hour daily will make themselves free from blood pressure levels.

This activity may help overweight people to curb their sugar cravings.Take a walk around the block or do something to change the scenery, to take your mind off the food.

Taking a walk after meal helps to aid digestion. That is why it is said to not to sit or lay on bed after having meals. It is necessary to move food to your small intestines in order to function properly. So, have a 15 minutes walk after a meal. But make sure to not to have a brisk walk after meals, strolling will just do fine.
